Diesel Machinery, Inc (DMI) is a leading construction and agriculture equipment dealer with three locations in South Dakota: Sioux Falls, Aberdeen and Rapid City. We represent some of the best brands in the industry, and sell a variety of heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, excavators, skid steers, sweepers, trailers, and more. We currently have an opening for a Parts Sales Representative within our Sioux Falls, SD location.


Job Description 
Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts, attachments and accessories. In addition, must perform excellent customer service, be highly organized, assist with inventory control and counts, part identification, and stocking duties.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Look up and ordering of parts for DMI equipment using NDS system & Vendor catalog systems  
  • Promotes, sells & order parts, product &/or services required to meet customer needs
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
  • Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Follows up on daily orders by reporting to the manager
  • Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
  • Perform other related duties assigned by Manager

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Heavy Machinery/Diesel parts knowledge preferred but not required
  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Basic machinery knowledge
  • Parts classes - required to attend online classes to learn our core parts and equipment
  • Ability to use the Parts Catalogs and Vendor website for parts look up and ordering
  • Ability to learn NDS business system for invoicing, receipting and ordering parts for customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive manner
  • Ability to lift items weight up to 75 lbs
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Forklift license is a plus
