ABOUT JCB

JCB started with one Englishman with a second-hand welding set in a rented garage. In October of 1945, Joseph Cryil Bamford fabricated a tipping trailer from war surplus materials, which he sold at a nearby market before immediately making another trailer. By 1948, he had five other employees creating innovative equipment solutions. In 1953, they launched their first backhoe loader, where the JCB logo appeared for the first time. Now, JCB has 18 factories across the world providing equipment to 150 countries. From humble beginnings, they have become a worldwide operation built on a reputation of dependable products and superior customer service.
